One of the most thrilling acts is to try something new, so I decided to try painting on some wooden surfaces!
For preparations, I sanded each side and then used some white Gesso to prime the surface to prevent the paint added on top to be soaked into the wood.
Once the gesso is dry, the surface is sanded to create a smooth finish to work on.
For the drilled wooden slabs I used the natural wood grain pattern to figure out the designs while keeping a monochromatic theme.
Both sides are painted with a slightly different design, showing that we too, have different sides to us, both of which are beautiful.
The round slabs received the same process but with the inspiration from the beasties of the higher realms as well as angels.
